Konami hiring for new Metal Gear Solid series

Metal Gear Solid firm Konami is currently hiring production staff for a new series of the stealth action games.

A Japanese job listing calls for developers with experience in high-end game production, practical experience in planning and “rich imaginations”.

According to Google Translate, the firm is seek new staff that are “able to generate innovative idea”, have “strong passion for game making” and “the communication skills to convey [your] ideas”.

CVs and portfolio need not be limited to game development only.

There are no further details on the specific production roles Konami is looking to fill, or what successful applicants will be working on beyond the intriguing phrase “a new Metal Gear series”.

The recruitment push follows the shock revelation that series creator Hideo Kojima will leave Konami after the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V, due in September. The veteran developer’s departure has reportedly come about as part of an internal power struggle.
