Last.FM racks up 1m Xbox Live profiles

Approximately one million Last.FM profiles have been created through the new Xbox Live social media update.

The number of gamers using the customisable online music service is considerably higher than the 500,000 originally announced by Microsoft last week, according to Game Informer.

These users have streamed a combined 120 million minutes of music during the first week after Last.FM launched on Xbox Live.

The report also confirms the Zune video marketplace has enjoyed a similarly strong launch, with more than 1.7 million Xbox owners watching videos through the service within the first week.
