Leading games industry network hits new high

The UK video games industry’s official LinkedIn page continues to go from strength to strength – crashing through the 1,000 members barrier with ease.

The networking portal – which includes countless CEOs and marketing execs – has hit 1,126 members in total.

With many industry execs already signed up to LinkedIn – dubbed ‘Facebook for professionals’ by users – it’s no surprise to see the one-click registration prove so popular.

To request to join the group, you must first register with Linked In. Then follow this link to the Video Gaming Executives page.

"The group has really taken off,” the portal’s moderator Michael Hobson told MCV. We have grown from 0 – 1,126 members in a matter of weeks with new members joining every day. It’s a real success story, but it’s no wonder, with so many vital business contacts available at the click of a mouse.

"A big thank you to all current members for showing what a great tool this can be.”

Top execs have already signed up to The Video Gaming Industry Executives group from the following companies:

20th Century Fox, Activision, Atari, BBC, Brash Codemasters, Disney, Eidos, Electronic Arts, Gem, Hasbro, Joytech, Koch, LucasArts, Lunch PR, Mad Catz, Microsoft, Midway, MTV, Namco Bandai, NCsoft, Nintendo, Orange, Rare, Rising Star, Sega, SkyGames, THQ, Sony, Square Enix, TT Games, Ubisoft, Vivendi.
