Indie effort inspired by canned Konami horror game halted its Kickstarter campaign in October after securing backing from Team 17

Lillith Ltd cancels PT spiritual successor Allison Road

Allison Road, the indie-developed spiritual successor to cult horror hit PT, has been cancelled.

The game was revealed by developer Lillith Ltd late last year, following Konami’s shutdown of Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro collaboration Silent Hills, for which PT served as a ‘playable teaser’.

As part of the cleanse, PT itself was removed from the PS4’s digital storefront, leading fans to register their online complaints about the disappearance of the spooky first-person experience.

Lillith launched a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for Allison Road, amassing almost £146,000 of its £250,000 target before halting the fundraiser in October after securing a publishing deal with Team 17.

Announcing Allison Road’s demise on Twitter, Lillith succinctly stated: “Sadly Allison Road had to be cancelled. Thanks for all your support and very sad it came to this.”

It added that a full statement would be released this week.
