Lollipop Chainsaw reaches one million sales

Suda 51’s zombie cheerleader title has globally sold 1m units.

This figure was announced by developer Grasshopper Manufacture via Twitter on Friday:

Lollipop Chainsaw came out in June 2012, meaning it has taken it nearly a year and a half to reach this level of sales. In Japan, Grasshopper is celebrating with discounts on the digital version of the title, though there is no word of this deal coming to the West yet.

Since Grasshopper has made hack and slash title Killer is Dead, which came to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 last August. A PC port – entitled Nightmare Edition – is set to hit stores on May 9th.
