MCV Awards ’08: Partners unveiled

A handful of the UK’s finest video games companies have pledged to make this year’s MCV Excellence Awards the best ever by sponsoring vital elements of the evening.

Nintendo returns as the MCV Awards’ Exclusive Retail Partner, sponsoring the entire retail category of awards – which takes in Independent Retailer, Specialist Retailer, Entertainment Retailer, Online Retailer and Star Store trophies.

The popular Pre-Drinks Reception will be backed by a tagteam of partners from two vital sectors in the industry: Codemasters and Gem. Both companies will provide a bevy of beverages to get you warmed up for the main event.

Attendees will then move onto the location for the evening’s festivities: The Brewery in the swanky City area of London. A further drinks reception here will be backed by consumer media site and monthly magazine Gamersuniverse.com.

The Awards show itself will enjoy sponsorship from SouthPeak Games, whilst MCV’s broadcast partner for the evening will be Gamer.TV, who will be filming your lovely faces during the night.

The MCV Excellence Awards return on Thursday, April 10th – and will be presented by Never Mind the Buzzcocks host and stand-up comedian Simon Amstell.
