A former production director at Rare has joined Microsoft’s London-based studio. Lee Schuneman joins the new department, which will focus on Windows 8 tablet devices.

I’m hugely excited by this new venture,” said Schuneman.

Adding a fourth UK-based studio to the incredible roster of talent already in place across Rare Ltd, Soho Productions and Lionhead not only increases our in-region studio presence, but will allow Microsoft Studios to explore the many creative and business opportunities that developing new games and entertainment experiences on Windows 8 tablet devices and platforms will afford.”

Schuneman has helmed a number of successful projects including Kinect Sports, Fable: The Journey, the Sky TV app and the creation of the Xbox 360 Avatars.

Former Amazon games boss Graham Chambers has left the retailer for mobile publisher Tag Games. Chambers has joined the mobile publisher and developer as its new head of global sales.

We’ve all seen how the business is changing, and how much more important mobile and free-to-play gaming is becoming,” said Chambers.

I honestly see it as the way forward. Tag is working on great products.”

Chambers has held significant roles in the games industry including MD at Gauntlet Entertainment, MD at Ubisoft and sales director at Nintendo.

The PR firm has announced two key promotions ahead of the busy Q4 sales period.

Kayleigh Watson has been promoted to senior account manager. She was previously account manager for The Pokmon Company International. Ian Dickson has been promoted to senior account executive after joining the company as an intern and following his term as junior account executive.

Kayleigh and Ian are two hugely valued staff members and are well liked and respected by journalists and clients alike,” said Lunch MD Danielle Woodyatt.

Both promotions are well deserved and help strengthen Lunch’s enviable reputation as one of the leading PR agencies in the industry.”
