, Microsoft has confirmed that it has appointed former Motorola marketing boss Jeremy Dale as its EMEA vice president of retail sales and marketing for its Entertainment and Devices Division.

He will be tasked with expanding the reach of Microsoft’s consumer products, including Xbox and Windows, and strengthening the brand throughout the territory. Microsoft consumer products are in 21 countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa and the regional E&D teams will all be reporting to Dale.

I think we are living in really exciting times at the moment,” Jeremy Dale stated. We are seeing cool, life-enhancing experiences being delivered across devices and formats.

As I spent time with the team at Microsoft it became very clear to me that this company is on a path to bridge the three screens that consumers use everyday – PC, mobile phone and TV – and I can’t think of any company in the world who is better positioned to deliver that full integrated experience to consumers than Microsoft.

I’m joining a very strong and growing organisation with a great deal of upward momentum, and I’m looking forward to being part of that team.”

Alongside previous roles at ITV Digital and Orange, Dale previously served as commercial and marketing director for Nintendo UK, where he oversaw the launch of the Pokemon franchise.
