Microsoft dates Forza 3

Xbox 360 platform holder Microsoft has confirmed that Turn 10’s anticipated race sim Forza Motorsport 3 will be released in North America on October 27th.

A European release is likely on either October 23rd or October 30th. [UPDATE: A European release date of October 23rd has now been confirmed.]

The standard game is set to include over 400 cars and 100 tracks, though the Limited Collector’s Edition will include extra cars, other in-game perks and a 2GB USB stick.

Those who opt for the pricier SKU will also gain VIP-level access to Forza community features, and also get exclusive access to five cars – the Aston Martin DBS, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, Ferrari 430 Scuderia, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera and Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

Shacknews reports that those who pre-order through GameStop will also be able to download an exclusive Audi R8 V10.
