Annual subscription costs to dev centre cut after successful summer promotion

Microsoft lowers Windows Phone development fee

Microsoft has lowered the annual fee for Windows Phone development.

During the summer, developers had been offered a cut down price of $19 to sign up to the Windows Phone Dev Centre. The cost for UK developers is £15.

Following a successful promotion, the team will be keeping the lowered price moving forward.

The annual subscription fee previously stood at $99 a year.

The Windows Dev Centre offers developers access to tools, code samples, marketing tips, guidelines and certification requirements and the ability to submit apps to the store.
