MICROSOFT: Minecraft for Xbox One confirmed

Microsoft has confirmed the indie sensation that is Minecraft is coming to its new console.

The construction title has been a massive hit on Xbox 360, dominating the XBLA charts for more than a year.

Xbox exec Phil Harrison promised the processing power of Xbox One would allow users to explore bigger maps and create more elaborate structures.

He used it as an example of how Xbox has helped indie developers, claiming that Microsoft has launched more than 400 games from 200 indie studios, raking in more than $1bn.

The Xbox One version was announced during the platform holder’s E3 press conference.
