Moore: Wii will own half of all next gen-sales

EA Sports President Peter Moore has predicted that Nintendo’s Wii will take up half of all home console sales in this generation.

Moore, former corporate VP of Microsoft’s interactive entertainment division, said that EA believed PS3 and Xbox 360 would fight over the balance”.

He based his assumptions on internal EA expectations.

Speaking to the FT, Moore said:

"It looks to me as if the Wii is going to have at least half the installed base of the overall industry and the Xbox 360 and PS3 are going to fight over the balance, based on the run-rates we’re seeing."
