Joab Gilroy will now bring the latest developments from Australia and New Zealand

New Develop Pacific editor named as Harris departs

Develop Pacific has a new editor in the wake of Leigh Harris’ departure.

Harris has moved on to teach Game Design at Australia’s Academy of Interactive Entertainment – as well as running his own studio, Flat Earth Games – with new editor Joab Gilroy stepping up to the plate.

Gilroy was previoulsy editor of online gaming community GameArena.

"I have always been fascinated by game development, and working wiht Develop gives me the opportunity to delve into less charted waters and to talk to the unsung heroes of the fastest growing media in the country," he said.

"I’m extremely excited to work with the team to bring new and interesting viewpoints to Develop Online."
