New Halo project underway at 343

An update to the CV of a level and mission designer currently working at Microsoft Game Studios’ 343 Industries seems to suggest that work began this month on a brand new title in the lucrative Halo franchise.

As spotted by CVG, the document now claims the developer in question began designing new levels and missions for the next Halo project” as of July 2010.

In addition, 343 Industries’ website has since the beginning of the month posted up 25 new jobs including technical artist, game engineer, character artist, environment artist, senior animator, software engineer, producer, storyboard artist, systems designer and missions designer.

Halo Reach, which will be Bungie’s last game in the series before the handover to Microsoft’s 343 Studios is complete, will be released on September 14th. Could it be that work on Halo 4 has begun?
