New Tomb Raider revealed next week

Square Enix will officially announce the next full Tomb Raider game next week, according to magazine reports.

The title has been previously been teased in Game Informer magazine, and now GamesMaster has said it will publish more information in its next issue out on January 4th, 2011.

The news, reported by CVG, follows images and details of the new Lara Croft game that were leaked onto the internet last year. The full reveal is expected on December 6th.

The leak read: When a sudden storm destroys her research vessel, a young and inexperienced Lara Croft finds herself stranded on a mysterious and remote island hidden off the shores of Japan.”

According to previous reports, the upcoming game focuses on a younger Lara and mixes open-world with survival horror gameplay.

A Square Enix trademark has also allegedly been uncovered for the phrase a survivor is born”, while the account number for the teaser site matches a number of other Square Enix sites.
