New Xbox Live entertainment apps launch

Xbox Live has added several new offerings to its budding entertainment app section.

Major Nelson announces that the handful of new apps have launched on Microsoft’s console service, and nearly all of them are region specific.

Crunchroll, which offers streaming Anime and Asian drama titles, is now available in all Xbox Live markets excluding Japan, UAE, Slovakia, and Saudi Arabia.

The US receives apps for Vimeo, SnagFilms, and AOL On, while TV/movie apps Televisa and Azteca are out now in Mexico.

Viaplay’s mix of television and on demand content is now accessible in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden; and the IGN app has expanded to Australia and New Zealand as well.

The Verizon FiOS app in the US has also received an update packing 49 new channels, on top of the 26 previously available.
