Grant to help studio employ new staff and support development of original IP

Plymouth dev Total Monkery secures Creative England funding

Plymouth-based developer Total Monkery has secured a grant from Creative England GamesLab to support the development of a new puzzle game.

The studio’s first title, MagNets, is being developed for PC, Mac and consoles and is currently slated for release in August 2014.

The funding from Creative England will help the studio continue developing its own IP and hire more staff. The news comes shortly after Total Monkery moved into a larger office and became part of the Formation Zone incubation space at Plymouth University.

Total Monkey was founded in 2012 by Richard Weeks, who has previously worked as senior programmer at Psygnosis and LucasArts.
