Power List launched by Licensing.biz

Intent Media today launches the Licensing.biz Power List, a new print magazine which will celebrate the top licensed properties of the year.

Published in association with miEvents, the glossy book will be launched at the Brand Licensing Europe event at Olympia on October 15th, where Licensing.biz and miEvents (which is a division of the miPR Group) will also host a party to celebrate the Power List.

Licensing.biz will survey 200 executives from all areas of the licensing business (including brand owners, licensees, retailers, licensing agents, media and events firms), asking them to choose their top properties from the character and entertainment, brands, sports and art and design sectors. They will be asked to take into account criteria including commercial impact, creativity, innovation, longevity and retail presence.

The Licensing.biz Power List will also be inserted in the November issue of ToyNews, and the corresponding issues of weekly sister titles MCV and Music Week.

The launch of the new annual publication comes as Licensing.biz celebrates its fifth anniversary, with a new-look site due to launch imminently.

Lisa Carter, publisher of Licensing.biz, said: "We’re excited to be launching the first print publication under the Licensing.biz moniker. The past 12 months have been a great time for the licensing industry, with established and new brands reaching ever increasing audiences.

"The Power List will aim to promote these licences further as the standard bearers in this fast-moving and exciting sector."

Kirsty Barr, MD of miPR and miEvents added:"Congratulations on five years of Licensing.biz. It’s an honour for miEvents to be the Headline Sponsor of the inaugural Power List book and Party in October. Licensing continues to grow year on year and it is only fitting that we acknowledge and commend the brands, individuals and categories which demonstrate innovation, creativity and passion within this great industry. We look forward to working with Intent Media on the Power List and Party over the coming months."
