Rayman Origins tops Vita review chart

Ubisoft’s colourful platformer Rayman Origins has emerged as the critics’ favourite of the PlayStation Vita launch range.

The game currently carries an average review score of 89 per cent on Metacritic. It has been praised for the quality of its visuals, which are said to be an ideal match with Vita’s fantastic OLED touch screen.

Ubisoft has also laid claim to the second highest rated game – puzzle title Lumines: Electronic Symphony (85 per cent).

This is followed by PQube BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extended (83 per cent), Sony’s Super Stardust Delta (83 per cent) and Uncharted: Golden Abyss (80 per cent).

Other highly rated games include Capcom’s Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 (79 per cent), Sony’s Wipeout 2048 (79 per cent), EA’s FIFA Football (77 per cent) and Sony’s Escape Plan (76 per cent).
