RELEASE DATES: Gears of War 4 launches in October

Microsoft has announced a release date for the next chapter in its Gears of War franchise – Gears of War 4 will debut on Xbox One on October 11th. The beta will be available starting April 18th for gamers who’ve played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10, and for Xbox Live Gold members on April 25th.

Some suspect the Gears 4 may also be released on PC. If that is the case, Microsoft hasn’t yet let slip.

Meanwhile,tomorrow(April 8th) will see the launch of the second installment in PQube’s racing series, MXGP 2, as well as Nintendo’s 3DS sports outing Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The highly anticipated Dark Souls III, published by Bandai Namco, is also hitting retail early next week, onTuesday April 12th.
