Report: There could be a Ubisoft Netflix TV show on the way

IP from Ubisoft’s portfolio could be making its way to digital streaming service Netflix.

That’s according to a story from Reuters, which says that CEO Yves Guillemot told reporters that the firm was in talks with Netflix over a TV series.

Which property is set for the streaming platform is yet to be revealed. This follows Activision Blizzard launching a Skylanders show on Netflix.

This wouldn’t be the first time that Ubisoft IP has made its way to TV screens. The firm’s Rabbids franchise has been turned into its own television series, produced by Ubisoft Motion Pictures, while the publisher’s Assassin’s Creed IP is making its way to the silver screen early next year.

Ubisoft has also confirmed that a film based on The Division starringJake Gyllenhaal is in the works.

2016 has also seen Angry Birds, Ratchet & Clank and Warcraft films. There’s also a trilogy of Tetris movies on the way.
