Saints Row 3 due autumn

Saints Row 3 will arrive in UK retailers during Q3 this year, THQ has confirmed.

The third instalment in the popular sandbox shooter series will arrive on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and is being billed as a key growth driver for the publisher.

In the fall, we plan to release the latest instalment of our Saints Row franchise, which we view as a significant growth driver in fiscal 2012,” THQ CEO Brain Farrell said in an earnings call, as reported by Eurogamer.

Volition is setting a new bar for this outstanding franchise and we look forward to unveiling this game in the near future.”

The original Saints Row was released on Xbox 360 in 2006 before the sequel landed on multiple consoles in October 2008. The gangster series has sold over 5m units worldwide.
