Spielberg to make Halo live-action TV series

Microsoft has teamed up with one of Hollywood’s biggest filmmakers to bring Master Chief’s adventures to TV.

The platform holder announced a live-actio Halo TV series is currently being made between 343 Industries and Steven Spielberg.

"I’ve been playing games for decades," the award-winning director said in a pre-recorded video. "The stories have become more compelling as the technology has improved.

"I’m incredibly excited about the incredibly journey Halo will take us on."

The announcement was made by 343’s Bonnie Ross who pointed to the popular Halo 4 webseries Forward Unto Dawn, which served as a prequel to last year’s best-selling shooter, as proof that Halo can work as a TV show.
