Steam Controller natively supported in XCOM 2

The latest entry in 2K’s XCOM franchise is hitting shelves today, and it appears that the strategy title has native Steam Controller support.

Word comes via the XCOM 2 community page on Steam, where a spokesperson for 2K Games has confirmed that the strategy title will support Valve’s new controller.

This support is still being tested, but promised features of this native integration include the ability to:

•Use a different control scheme based on the in-game situation.
•Experience precise and responsive 1:1 camera controls using the touchpads in the Geoscape and the Tactical view.
•Instantly select your ability with the flexibility of the controller’s Touch Menus.

In addition, the Steam Controller and XCOM 2 bundle is available with a 40 per cent discount for a limited time.
