Developers able to publish new or existing browser titles to service

Sulake launches API for Habbo Hotel game platform

Sulake has opened a new API for developers to make and release titles for its Habbo Hotel gaming platform.

Developers will be able to publish new or existing browser games onto the platform, while studios will also be able to run their games on their servers, with the API allowing them access to Habbo’s social graph and monetisation features.

Sulake claimed that the integration of an existing game usually takes less than a week, and that new titles would receive free promotion in the Habbo ecosystem.

"We have been thrilled to work with such a great bunch of talented game studios”, said Sulake new revenue EVP Antti Viitanen.

“Habbo offers developers globally a great opportunity to create games for the huge Habbo user base, especially now, when the platform isn’t yet crowded with games.”

Further information on the Habbo API, including tutorials on creating apps, can be found on the official website.
