The Banner Saga 2 will miss 2015 release window

The sequel to last year’s hit tactical RPG The Banner Saga won’t make its 2015 release window, Versus Evil has announced.

The publisher confirmed the delay toEurogamer, though it didn’t give a reason and wouldn’t state if the game would get a simultaneous release across PC, PS4 and Xbox One – the platforms the second release is currently in development for.

The Banner Saga was created by a trio of former Bioware developers under the studio name Stoic. The series is intended to be a trilogy, and there’s a separate free-to-play online multiplayer entry called The Banner Saga: Factions as well.

The original is available now on PC, Mac, with tablet editions out on iOS and Android. It’s also still in the works for eventual release on Xbox One, PS4, PS Vita and Linux.
