THQ’s Rooke joins Creative Assembly

Former THQ marketing boss Jon Rooke has crossed over to the development sector as brand director at Creative Assembly.

Sega has been building dedicated PR and brand teams around its key studios, and Creative Assembly already has a growing team that includes global PR manager Rebecca Attard and communications manager Al Bickham.

Rooke joins the team following the closure of THQ in January.

I’m incredibly excited to be joining the team at Creative Assembly,” Rooke told MCV. As a developer, they have an enviable heritage of consistently delivering high quality titles and the chance to work side-by-side with that team to help bring to market a new game is a fantastic opportunity.”

Total War creator Creative Assembly is part of Sega’s family of PC studios, along with Football Manager dev Sports Interactive and the newly acquired Relic studio.
