Ubisoft readies 10 Natal titles

Ubisoft is currently working on up to 15 motion-controlled projects across Microsoft and Sony’s forthcoming hardware, with the majority slated for the highly anticipated Project Natal.

During the publisher’s fiscal first half results call to investors, CEO Yves Guillemot revealed the company’s support for Natal is almost double of that for Sony’s unnamed motion controller, according Gamasutra.

We have around ten games that will come for Natal during the first six months of launch, and we expect between four and five games for the new controller [from] Sony,” he said. That’s the picture at the moment – it can change in the next 12 months.”

Guillemot went on to say that 70 per cent of these titles would be new IP, and most would be casual games”. He also stated Ubisoft was working on additional games that support these new controllers, but are not solely dependent on them. No games were named.

This revelation follows reports last week that Rare would incorporate Natal into the next Killer Instinct, and that Harmonix is exploring the possibility of Guitar Hero: Natal.
