UK studio Relentless is shutting down

Brighton-based Buzz developer Relentless is closing after 13 years.

Games Industry reports that founder Andrew Eades has confirmed that the studio has made its employees redundant today.

Relentless is known to most as the team behind the successful Buzz! series. Back in the age where game-specific peripherals were all the rage, Buzz used a gameshow-style controller that players used to answer multiple choice questions.

Over a dozen Buzz games were released between 2005 and 2010. It also developed the National Geographic Kinect game, and the Blue Toad Murder Files series.

It had earlier this year announced plans to open a Welsh studio in partnership with Hasbro to create games based on its assorted toy IPs.
