Nearby Polish PC company said to have completed a new buyout offer

[Update] Witcher dev in buyout speculation

[UPDATE 1]

Polish developer CD Projekt is rumoured to be the subject of a bizarre takeover offer by struggling IT company Optimus.

Optimus’ business is broadly spread across the IT sector, though it has struggled to recapture the success it enjoyed throughout the nineties.

The alleged buyer is based in Polish capital Warsaw, as is CD Projekt.

According to a Polygamia report, Optimus has successfully acquired CD Projekt in exchange for stock, and in the process has made The Witcher developer a publicly-traded company.

CD Projekt, which has offices in the Czech Republic as well as Warsaw, was responsible for the well-received RPG The Witcher, as well as running digital portal Good Old Games.
