VIDEO: Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 gets official trailer and release date

We now have a concrete idea of what Call of Duty will look like when it arrives in November.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III continues the series’ recent near-future theme, with a heavy emphasis on augmentation – as per last week’s teaser video. The plot takes place directly after the events of Black Ops II.

The first gameplay can be seen in the video below, which is set to the recognisable tones of Rolling Stones’ Paint It Black.

Gameplay wise the series will step away from its traditional corridors and embrace a more open approach to levels. Characters, too, will be heavily customisable, as will weapons. The in-game augmentations will also allow for some special abilities, such as a Titanfall-style wallrun. Zombie multiplayer is also confirmed.

Black Ops III will be released worldwide on November 6th. So far the game has only been confirmed for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
