Vrabeck officially joins Legendary Pictures

Nearly two months on from when the news first emerged, Legendar Pictures has at long last officially confirmed Kathy Vrabeck as its new digital division boss.

Vrabeck shocked the gamesworld with her surprise departure from EA last November as part of the publisher’s casual shake-up.

Legendary is headed up by Thomas Tull, producer of movie blockbusters such as The Dark Knight, 300 and Superman Returns. Tull was also a figurehead in Mitch Davis’ now defunct Brash Entertainment. He is also involved in the upcoming movies based on successful games franchises World of Warcraft and Gears of War.

The LA Times quotes Vrabeck as saying of the news: The opportunity to combine Legendary’s brand, loyal consumer following and talented creative partnerships with the fastest growing segments of digital entertainment is incredibly exciting.”
