Wal-Mart slashes Blu-Ray prices

Supermarket giant Wal-Mart is offering US consumers some tasty new incentives to splash out on Blu-Ray players.

According to Reuters, the price of Blu-Ray technology is reportedly putting off customers, particularly during the ‘credit crunch’.

Wal-Mart has fought back, however, offering a $100 gift card with the purchase of any Blu-Ray player in-store from June 8th to 14th.

The retailer has also increased the number of brands of Blu-Ray players it is selling, adding Magnavox, Samsung and Panasonic.

In addition, it will be offering select Blu-ray movie titles for $15.
