What’s Out Today? w/e October 14th, 2011

Activision brings the worlds of toys and video games together with today’s release of Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure.

This ambitious title lets players use special figurines to activate characters in game by placing them on the Portal of Power. These figures will then remember their progress, regardless of what platform they are being used on.It is available on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC and 3DS, along with a browser-based companion game.

Older gamers may be more interested in the dogfighting action of Namco Bandai’s Ace Combat: Assault Horizon, the adrenaline-fuelled racing of Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport 4 or the footballing antics of Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2012.

Also out today is Dead Rising 2: Off The Record (Capcom), Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge (505 Games), Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition (Rockstar Games) and Spider-Man: Edge of Time (Activision).
