Xbox Live adds new entertainment apps

Xbox Live is launching a handful of various entertainment apps in select countries this week.

Major Nelson has announced US subscribers can now sign-up and download Rhapsody’s streaming music app as well as Blip.TV, a service that broadcasts popular web series.

Users in the UK and Germany gain access to Lovefilm’s app, a subscription-based service that offers packages for live-streaming TV, movies, and games.

Live members in Canada receive the official IGN app, which includes Kinect gesture and voice functionality, along with French video-streaming app TOU.TV.

Last but not least subscribers in the Netherlands now have access to the RTL XL app, which offers the video streaming service’s best programs.”
