Xbox One S 2TB launching on August 2nd in the UK, 500GB and 1TB versions to follow

Multiple sources have confirmed to MCV the UK launch date for the 2TB edition of the Xbox One S.

The new hardware will be released on Tuesday, August 2nd. Furthermore, the 1TB and 500GB editions will not be launching on this date.

Sources have told MCV that the S range will be replacing the existing line-up of Xbox One consoles, so Microsoft will be introducing the 1TB and 500GB versions of the Xbox One S to retail as stock of the original hardware depletes.

This would also explain the price cuts on Xbox Oneconsoles.

The 2TB model – dubbed the ‘limited launch edition’ by Xbox – will set consumers back 349. Meanwhile, the 1TB edition costs 299 and the 500GB SKU has a 249price tag.

The rumoured Xbox One S was announced on-stage at Microsoft’s E3 press event.
