RAGE pushed back to October

Mutant FPS RAGE has been delayed to Friday, October 7th in the UK to ensure it offers the best experience possible”.

Bethesda was previously due to release the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC title on Friday, September 16th. In the US, RAGE will now arrive on Tuesday, October 4th.

The publisher announced the new date on the game’s official website.

We wanted to give it that little extra time to help make it the best experience possible,” Bethesda’s UK marketing manager Greg Weller told MCV.

RAGE has been developed by id Software, the creators of classic shooters such as Doom and Quake. Players go up against bandit gangs, mutants and more in the title, which is set in the near future after an asteroid has hit Earth. An iPhone and iPad app has already been released.

In late 2009 Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax picked up the publishing rights for RAGE. EA was previously scheduled to publish it.
