Rambo publisher releasing Terminators: The Video Game

He said he’d be back.

Reef Entertainment has acquired the video game rights to hugely popular ’80s flick The Terminator, and the console and PC game rights to its sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

But rather than just creating direct tie-ins that are two decades too late, the publisher has announced it will use the license for a brand new entry in the series, Terminators: The Video Game.

No further details have been given yet, including what formats this game is in development for.

At the moment the publisher says it is "studying all aspects and influences of the Terminator universe defined in Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day". What? Nothing from Terminator: Salvation? Shame.

Reef Entertainment is also working on Rambo: The Video Game for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, which will put players in the combat trousers of a digital Sly Stallone on October 18th.
