Rayman Jungle Run wins Apple Game of 2012 Award on iPhone

Ubisoft’s expert handling of its Rayman IP on iPhone has been named as Apple’s iPhone Game of the Year for 2012 in the UK.

Rayman Jungle Run was released in September and did a superb job of bringing the trademark colourful visuals and gameplay seen in the console versions to the iPhone’s touchscreen.

Terry Cavanagh’s insanely tough but also insanely brilliant Super Hexagon was named as the runner-up.

On iPad the Room was crowned best game with Eufloria HD grabbing the silver position.

Other games named in Apple’s annual highlight roundup include Letterpress, Catapult King, Bad Piggies, Super Monsters Ate My Condo, Lili, Total War Battles, Hero Academy, Puzzle Craft, Punch Quest, Agent Rush, New Star Soccer, 10000000, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Triple Town and Ghost Trick.
