Red Dead Redemption 2 confirmed, along with online multiplayer

Yes, it’s true – Rockstar has officially confirmed Red Dead Redemption 2.

The game is due out in autumn 2017 and has so far only been confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One. There is not yet any word on a PC release.

Also confirmed is that the game will offer an online multiplayer spin-off, presumably in the same way that GTA V forms the basis for Grand Theft Auto Online.

Developed by the creators of Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption, Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland,” the statement reads. The game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.”

The game’s first trailer will be released at 4pm UK time this Thursday (October 20th).
