Red PS3 hitting UK early next month

A brand new 320GB Red PS3 console will be released in the UK at the beginning of May.

As well as the high-capacity console it will also include a red Dualshock 3 controller. It can currently be pre-ordered at three retailers.

Amazon is asking 249.99 for the machine, which it claims will be available from April 27th.

ShopTo is charging 239.99 and claims a release date of May 4th. Rival Play.com is carrying the exact same offer.

UPDATE: Sony has told MCV that the console will launch in the UK on May 4th. Amazon will be revising its release date to match this.
