Resident Evil CG movie on the way

Despite its box office success, the Resident Evil movie trilogy has been far from hit with gamers – but hopes will be high that the brand new computer generated movie entitled Biohazard: Degeneration will deliver the big-screen experience that gamers have been looking for.

Capcom has teamed up with Sony Pictures Entertainment to deliver a flick that it promises will provide groundbreaking visual effects and brand new storyline”, CVG reports.

Details are thin on the ground at the moment, but some will be hoping that George A. Romero, acclaimed director and the man behind zombie classic Night of the Living Dead, will be brought onboard after being hired and then unceremoniously dropped on the third live action movie, Resident Evil: Extinction.

No release date has yet been announced, but the suggestions are that Biohazard: Degeneration will arrive some time next year.
