Resistance: Burning Skies announced for Vita

GAMESCOM: Sony has announced a new handheld iteration of its popular FPS series, Resistance.

Resistance: Burning Skies was unveiled during the firm’s Gamescom press conference. It is being developed by Nihilistic.

The action is set before the events of Resistance II as the Chimera is starting to invade the US. The game will feature new weapons, enemies and characters.

SVP of Sony Worldwide Studios Europe Michael Denny said the game will show the importance of dual-stick gaming on PlayStation Vita.
