Rising Star Games steps onto Steam

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut will be Rising Star’s first release on leading downloads store Steam.

The horror game has been approved for release through Steam’s Greenlight system, whereby PC gamers vote for games they want to be published.

It has always been part of our expansion plans to move deeper into the digital arena,” product marketing manager Yen Hau told MCV. Moving onto Steam is the next step in that strategy. We have always thrived on community feedback and demand. Since this is our first title to appear on Steam, the Greenlight process made perfect sense to us.

We’ve had people demanding a PC version Deadly Premonition for a while – now they have proved they actually want it.”

Rising Star is aiming for a Halloween release for Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut on Steam.
