Rocket League holiday update adds hockey mode

A new update has arrived for Rocket League, adding a new hockey mode and a list of holiday-themed items to the popular release.

A post on the game’s twitter accountannounces the content drop is out now for both PS4 and PC versions.

Along with the new mode, several festive items have been added as free drops for a limited time: The Xmas Rocket Trail , Blitzen Topper , Christmas Tree Topper, Sad Sapling Topper, Santa Topper, Candy Cane Antenna, and Holiday Gift Antenna.

The free drops end January 4th. Developer Psyonix didn’t specify if hockey mode will remain after the other content is pulled.

Rocket League is currently available on PS4 and PC. An Xbox One release is expected out by February of next year, with Mac and Linux releases on the way as well.
