Rockstar job listing hints at Grand Theft Auto V PC release

A PC version of Grand Theft Auto V remains unannounced by Rockstar, but that doesn’t mean the studio isn’t working on it.

Rockstar Watch points to a Rockstar Leeds job posting that seeks a PC programmer for the developer’s ‘latest’ games.

Rockstar Leeds are currently looking for a talented graphics programmer to help bring our latest titles to the PC platform,” the listing reads. Working together with the other Rockstar studios, you will be responsible for maintaining the studio’s uncompromising quality bar, delivering the highest quality PC experience possible.”

The listing also suggests Rockstar plans to support PC beyond the arrival of the latest round of next-gen consoles, stating that the selected candidate will be working alongside developers on Next Generation games.

PCGamer adds that while the listing could also be referring to Red Dead Redemption, GTA V is the title most likely in question – as every major GTA title has seen a PC release following some sort of delay from its console counterpart.

Rockstar has thus far remained silent regarding anything outside of the confirmed PS3 and Xbox 360 versions – though the company did previously state that both PC and Wii U were under consideration.

Grand Theft Auto V is set to launch September 17th.
