Rockstar reveals Max Payne DLC Pass

Max Payne 3 will be followed up with a slew of DLC packages, and gamers can pre-purchase all of them with a Rockstar Pass.

Publisher Rockstar Games promised new multiplayer maps, modes, items, characters and more in the months following the shooter’s Xbox 360 and PS3 release on May 18th. A PC version will follow in June.

The first map pack will be released in June. Entitled ‘Local Justice’, it features the Police Precinct map, which will work with all multiplayer modes. There will also be two additional maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer, as well as avatar items and multiplayer challenges.

Following packs include the Disorganised Crime, Deathmatch Made In Heaven, Hostage Negotiation, Painful Memories and Trickle Down Economic map packs, and the New York Minute co-op pack. These releases will be spread throughout the rest of 2012.

The Max Payne 3 Rockstar DLC Pass is available for pre-order via Best Buy and GameStop in the US. It will cost 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live and $29.99 on PSN and PC. Rockstar says that’s 35 per cent cheaper than buying all planned DLC individually.

Rockstar previously offered a DLC pass for last year’s crime thriller LA Noire.
