ROUNDUP: Microsoft E3 press conference

Microsoft has just finished off its very impressive E3 presentation, leaving both Sony and, in particular, Nintendo with plenty to do to live up to it.

Highlights included full body motion control system Natal, which as well as allowing game control also boast facial, voice and pattern recognition. There was also the news retail didn’t want to hear – Microsoft will become the first platform holder to allow users to bypass retail altogether.

Software highlights include Halo: Reach, Final Fantasy XIII, the exclusive Left 4 Dead 2 and of course, a brand new Metal Gear Solid!
