Rugby League 3 heading to Wii

Alternative Software has revealed the release date of Rugby League 3 – it will arrive in stores on April 16th.

Alternative Software managing director Roger Hulley said: This is the latest game in the Rugby League franchise, which has previously made it into the GfK Chart-Track Top 40 mutliformat chart.”

Rugby League 3 is looking to be amongst the most popular and exciting products in the Super League and RFL licensing range,” added Paul Kimberley, commercial director for the Rugby Football League.”

We are delighted with the success to-date of Rugby League Challenge on the PSP and are extremely proud of what has been achieved for the franchise with Rugby League 3,” said Hulley.

2003’s Rugby League reached the Top 40 and 2005’s sequel Rugby League 2 made it into the Top 20. Rugby League 3 is currently no.1 in the Australian games charts.

The announcement follows the release of Rugby League Challenge on the PSP which was exclusive to Game and Gamestation.
