Scherzinger named as GoldenEye title singer

Activision has announced that Nicole Scherzinger will be the title singer for GoldenEye 007.

The lead vocalist of popular girl band The Pussycat Dolls will perform her own take on Tina Turner’s iconic Bond song over the upcoming game’s title singer.

GoldenEye 007 is due for release on Wii and DS this Friday, and lands on US shelves today. It already features the talents of Daniel Craig as Bond and Dame Judi Dench as M, as well as a new musical score by veteran Bond composer David Arnold.

The game will arrive in the UK alongside James Bond 007: Blood Stone – developed for Xbox 360, PS3, PC and DS – which features an original Bond song written and performed by UK singer Joss Stone.
